Welcome message from the Chairman Welcome back everyone after the long summer break, and a warm welcome to new members. Our program of concerts for Christmas has been arranged and rehearsals are well under way. We have programme of varied music, some familiar and some new, which we hope you will enjoy singing. At the AGM a couple of weeks ago, both David and I encouraged all choir members to attend rehearsals regularly and to attend as many concerts as possible. This support will be of enormous benefit to the choir as a whole. We will sing with confidence if we know that we are well-rehearsed and that there will be a good turnout at the concerts. Christmas Concerts Please arrive at least half an hour before the start of each concert, to allow time for our vocal warm up and for stage preparations.

Summary of AGM At the AGM two weeks ago we agreed that subscription rates for 2006/07 would remain at £36, but that an increase might be necessary next year. Subs are now due: please see Alan Hobbs, Choir Treasurer. The other main business of the AGM was to elect the Committee for this year. Those elected were as follows:

Many thanks to all those who have volunteered to be sit on the committee, and to Sandra who stepped down as Secretary after several years in the role.  Also at the AGM, Gordon stood down as Independent Examiner of the Choir accounts, a job he has done for fifteen years. Thank you to him for all the work he has done in this role. Jim Turner will take over this task.
